Payments, simplified

Frequently asked questions
Is the app free for players?+
Yes, entirely. Signup, creating and joining matches, profile, notifications, player profile, calendar and chat are 100% free. Only some categories of classifieds (configurable per category) can be paid via Stripe — by default you get a monthly free quota.
Do I need an account? How do I sign in?+
You sign in with your email. We send you a magic link, you click, and you're in the app. No password to remember.
What's the Playtomic level scale?+
It's the standard adopted by nearly every European padel app (Playtomic, MyPadelPro…). A scale from 1.0 to 7.0 in 0.5 steps. The wheel on your profile has a "Notice" describing each tier to help you place yourself honestly.
How do {paymentMethod} payments work?+
The organiser shows their phone number linked to {paymentMethod}. Other players send the payment from their banking app in seconds, then mark their slot as paid. No money passes through the application — it's just a tracker.
Can I invite a player not registered on the app?+
Yes — in the "Other spots" block at creation (or via "Add a player" later), pick the "Guest" tab and just type their first name + optional phone. Their seat is reserved, and you remain responsible for the payment and refund.
My club isn't in the list, can I add it?+
Yes! When you type a club name we don't have, an 'Add this club' button appears. It becomes available to the entire community.
How does the gender filter work (mixed / men / women)?+
When creating, the organiser picks the match type. If a match is 'men only' or 'women only', the app automatically prevents others from joining.
How do I get new-match notifications?+
In your profile, set your home club and a radius (10/25/50/100 km). You'll then receive an email AND a push notification (if enabled) every time a match is created within your Playtomic level (±1.0) and your area. Same when an organiser registers you directly or a spot opens up.
Can I book and pay for a court right from the app?+
Yes, at partner clubs. Pick your slot, pay online (Apple Pay, Google Pay or card via Stripe), and receive your confirmation by email. At clubs equipped with an Igloohome smart lock, we automatically email you your access code 15 minutes before your slot — valid for around 1h. If you cancel early enough, we trigger an automatic refund.
What's a private community?+
A group you create for a crew of friends, your club, your company or your association. You invite members by email or link, and you can create matches hidden from the public — only members see them and can join. You find your community matches via a dedicated filter on the matches page.
How do tournaments work?+
We list FFT tournaments (P25 to P2000) and in-house competitions from partner clubs. Filter by level, club or dates, register online, and find a matching partner directly from the tournament page (autocomplete on players of the same level). .ics export to add to your calendar + push notification when new tournaments drop.
